On 22 December 2008, we had other successful fedora event at Misr University for Science and Technology, It was one of the last fedora events in 2008, it was just after the reporting Fedora Day at Menoufiya University, which was mentioned here.
Then we headed to the assigned lecture room, the number of attendees was great if compared with the information technology students. Attendees were around 100 and the faculty have only 300 students.
Me giving the FOSS and fedora introduction session.
The dean attended the session, the interaction of the students wasn't as expected as we were comparing it with Menoufiya University students. But it was fine given that most of them was the first time to hear about FOSS.
Reaching fedora around the globe slide.
Then Omar Gave the fedora desktop/features demonstration
As usual we ended with Q & A session, I had good questions, the shocking fact was most users of several Linux distros weren't studying anything related to information technology.
Last part was the Live usb creation for students, as they were aware of the idea as it was announced on the flyers.
All event volunteers and organizers
The report is really late but it took time to get all photos from students to upload them and write the report.
